The color is black and the size is 36" x 83" the magnets are sewn into the seam 12 strong magnets and 10 magnet strips and velcro is sewn around the entire frame for added strength. This is both durable and strong and has had no problems with my English bulldogs going in and out of it. We didn't have a doggy door before and now we do. It is so easy and didn't know if our dogs would use it. But they love it as much as I do. I was also amazed as to how easy it was to install.
