 It makes 6 cups of coffee and also makes a wonderful cup of tea and does a marvelous job of frothing milk. Simply boil water, place grounds in beaker ,pour boiling water into glass beaker ,let brew a few minutes, then depress the plunger pushing the grounds to the bottom. It makes a stronger ,richer coffee then auto drip or Keurig by capturing more of the coffee natural essential oils .The French Press uses more of a course grind coffee so it keeps the grounds from passing through the metal screening. This makes an excellent cup of coffee and I love using this French Press .I don't know what i like better the hot tea or coffee. It was easy to use once you get the hang of it .I received this complementary for my unbiased review.
